K Custom Dark Hi Hats

K Custom Dark Hi Hats are a strong choice for drummers who aren't seeking just a darker sound, but also demand a lot of color and articulation from their hi hats. These hi hats can be described as warm, full-bodied in tone with a clean stick sound. Delivering a fast, bright "chick" that is distinctly crisp and cuts through. K Custom Dark cymbals are a great choice for drummers who lean towards a mixed blend of darker tonal colors that project with more character and nuance.

K Custom Session Hi Hats

Unique pairing, modeled after Steve Gadd's personal HiHats. The HiHats feature a slightly undersized, medium weight top cymbal and a medium-thin bottom cymbal.

K Custom Hybrid Hi Hats

Developed in conjunction with leading drum stylist Akira Jimbo, the Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Hi-Hat Bottom features an innovative brilliant/traditional surface that produces different tones depending on where the cymbal is played for a musical "darkness with brilliance" combination. The inner half features the unlathed, brilliant finish of the K Custom Ride, while the outer half features the traditionally finished K Zildjian lathing. The unlathed section helps control the wash and sustain, making it ideal for recording and live situations.

The innovative "Hybrid Hammering" on the hi-hat results in reverse Mastersound grooves by hammering into the bottom of the cymbal from the opposite side. This results in increased surface area contact between the top and bottom cymbals, and a warmer chick and wash than normal Mastersound hammering. Akira specified the 13-1/4" size to combine the power of a 14" size and the control of a 13".

The 14" HiHats capture the same sound as the existing 13" models but with extra volume and more breadth of sound and feature the same "Hybrid Mastersound" hammering on the bottom cymbal.

International Orders and Delivery

Orders placed for dispatch internationally will have the VAT amount removed before processing. Please be aware that VAT is Now Paid at Point of Arrival. As well as local VAT, you may also have to pay any duty that is due if the goods were not made in the EU or UK.

Large Parcels which exceed 30kg (volume metric weight may be applicable on the box size) or 175cm in length will be subject to a postage surcharge. We will notify you of the charge on receipt of your order.

At Drumshack, we offer our customers the option of selling their used musical instruments and part exchanging goods against any of our products, including 2nd Hand.

Simply fill out our form here to submit your product for consideration. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse items if they are in bad condition, not relevant to the shop...etc.

To sell us equipment you must be able to transport the goods to our shop in South London (full details on our contact page). We also require 2 forms of ID - one with a photo (eg drivers licence / passport) and another being a recently dated letter to your address.

Price Matching

At Drumshack, we check our online prices regularly to offer our customers competitive pricing on our products. However, if you do find something cheaper, it never hurts to ask!

We will price match UK online or in store quotes only and the product itself needs to be "like for like". Please make sure that the offer has exactly the same product as the one you wish to purchase including the colour, the version...etc.

Though we will not usually price match Ebay or Amazon, if it is a product advertised on those platforms, we are happy to look at it.
